Meet our Owner and Teachers
At St. Jacob Early Childhood Center, our amazing staff is the heart of our daycare! With a passion for nurturing and educating children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, our dedicated team creates a warm, loving environment where little ones can thrive. We’re excited to support the families in our St. Jacob community!
Owners: Jackie and Josh Hancock
We are a family of five living in St. Jacob. We have 3 Children, Bryer-12, Kaisley- 10, and Colt- 6. Jackie has always had a passion for caring for children of all ages which started the journey to opening a childcare center. I (Jackie) had experience working in a childcare center, the Triad School District and was also an in-home childcare provider for many years here in the Village of St. Jacob. Josh owns a roofing and construction business here in St. Jacob and loves to stop by and visit every now and then! I (Jackie) enjoys coming to the center daily and creating a bond with each and every child and family here at the center. We opened a Childcare center as we found the need for quality childcare in our area a much-needed asset to the community. We strive to always make the center the best place possible for all the children we care for daily! We are open to all communication with families at any time so always feel free to reach out to us!

Hey, I am 22 years old and have worked in daycare for 5 years. I have always had a passion for caring for children since I was a little girl. I found my career in Early Childhood Education in High School by taking childcare classes. I soon went to SWIC and graduated with my Associates in Applied Science Early Child Education. I decided to continue my education and started at ISU for my Bachelor's in early childhood education and will be graduating in May 2025. I am so excited to meet new families and watch children grow up and find who they are! I love to create a community within the center and welcoming environment for ALL! I love to be an advocate for my employee and families in the center by giving resources, training classes, being a leader.

It has been a true blessing last year to celebrate 25 years in childcare business and traveling all over the world with the military. Every day is a good day. No matter what storms or obstacles we face, we can always find something special. With this we can build a firm foundation in the lives of children while building a confidence in a safe environment. Care services under my leadership will show that I am very passionate, patient, lovable, and most of all understanding; to meet your child's need in learning. We will grow together and meet goals to achieve and accomplish in the next milestone in their lives. Communication is key and I am looking forward to working with staff as mentor and parents through our center. We will be in unity to become the best! Planting every lasting seed to bloom forever in each other.

Hello, I am a 39-year-old mother of two and a grandmother to one beautiful granddaughter. I have always loved children and always knew I wanted to work with kiddos from a young age. I have my associate's degree in early childhood education and have worked in childcare for 15 years and that's not including helping my mom raise my three younger siblings. I love to watch the minds of children grow and change and watch them develop into the little people that they are. There's just something amazing about watching a child flourish, learn new things and develop their personalities. I am naturally a nurturer so I like to give my students the love and care that I would give to my own children and help them thrive as individuals. I also love to tell parents about their kid's days and make sure their involved in all their learning and milestones. It's a great day to have a great day and every day is what you make it!

I have been in the childcare field for 4 years. My education has been focused on early childhood education which I am continuing on with!
